The advantages of a work placement: gain valuable work experience and improve your job prospects on graduation.
A psychology degree with a work placement is a great start to your CV. But a degree with two placement options? That’s going to stand out for potential employers. Which is why at Brunel we offer you the option of two six-month placements which takes place between your first and second year, and then again between your second and third year. This gives you the opportunity to experience two different work environments if you’re not yet sure in which area you would like to specialise in when you graduate.
We also offer a regular one year placement between your second and third year which takes place in one working environment.
Whichever placement you choose, you'll have the opportunity to work in a wide variety of sectors such as clinical psychology, media, marketing, HR, law enforcement, finance, government, health or education.

University placement: Applying psychology in a business context
A dedicated placement tutor from the Professional Development Centre will work with you to help secure your work placements, which could be in a school, hospital, prison or as part of a research team.
The Professional Development Centre at Brunel are always willing to help. I am currently doing a work placement that they helped me to find. Being in Greater London also helps with job opportunities as it is so easy to get into the capital.
