Academic Specialism & Teaching Responsibilities:

John's academic focus is on neurological rehabilitation, motor control, and gait analysis. He has led pre-registration physiotherapy programmes and has extensive experience in designing curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare courses. As an educational lead for workforce development in global healthcare systems, John has been instrumental in building academic capacity and in the internationalisation of education across various academic levels.

Career History

A UK-registered physiotherapist since 1990, John has specialised in neurological rehabilitation within primary and tertiary care settings. His managerial roles have included the development and oversight of multi-professional neurorehabilitation services, such as stroke rehabilitation units and community services. Transitioning to academia in 2002, John has held multiple leadership positions, including an 11-year tenure as the academic and professional lead for physiotherapy. In this capacity, he managed large, multi-professional academic teams and spearheaded international education initiatives for healthcare professions.
