Emily is a member of the British Association for Contemporary Studies (BACLS) and the International Gothic Society (IGS). She has also peer reviewed for a number of journals, including American, British and Canadian Studies, Journal of Postcolonial Writing, Textual Practice, Genre: Forms of Discourse and Culture, and Sexualities.
