Brunel fuzzy systems papers take top two spots

Papers by and   from Brunel and their collarobators from China have taken the as the top accessed documents for the published by the (IEEE), a leading technical professional organization in the world.

It is very rare for a researcher to achieve the top spot and it is unprecedented for a researcher to achieve the top two spots at the same time.

Professor Nandi says, “It shows the strengths of research at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at Brunel. We are not only internationally excellent we are internationally leading in this case. We are very thankful to the Royal Society and the NSFC for their financial support.” 

These two articles are offer new ideas in image segmentations and they achieve the best performance with the least computation amongst all the state-of-the-art algorithms. These will have many applications in medical as well as other target detection and recognition applications.

The first article arose from their initial collaboration, which led to the successful joint application of Professor Nandi to the Royal Society (UK) and Professor Lei to the NSFC (China) for funding. The second article came out of the jointly funded project by RS/NSFC.
