Join the premiere screening of the film "Migrating Fears" by Dr Solon Solomon

web

On account of his research, Solon Solomon, a law professor, embarks on a quest to understand ‘migrating fears,’ meaning what kind of fear and trauma refugees and asylum seekers experience and what are the fears/worries local societies have towards migration.

Coming to share his thoughts with Helen, an Australian old friend of his in Oxford (played by Sarah Lockett), his efforts to better understand migration bring him to Dover and then to East London where the Huguenots first settled. There, in front of a Huguenot house and through his encounter with Zoe, another refugee law expert (played by Minouche Kaftel) as well as with an anonymous refugee (played by Kareena John), Solon solidifies his decision to continue unveiling the feelings around migration. Interviewing refugees, politicians, psychologists and legal experts, he enters into a process which ultimately results to the creation of dialogues instead of monologues among the different groups.
