Summary

Dr Xufei Zhang is a Senior Lecturer in International Business in the Global Management division at Brunel Business School; Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Prior to Brunel, Xufei held various academic roles in China, at the University of Nottingham and Middlesex University.

I specialise in empirical research on various topics in international trade and international finance, including firm finance and trade; finance and business decisions/firm behaviour; offshoring and foreign direct investment; firm level adjustment to globalisation in emerging markets. 

I have published in high impact journals such as Journal of Business Research, Journal of Development Studies, International Journal of Finance and Economics among others. 3 doctoral students have successfully completed their PhD under my direct supervision. 

Qualifications

I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham, an MSc in Economics from the University of York.
