Summary

Thet Paing Tun is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Previously, he taught hands-on curriculum for both undergraduate and graduate electrical engineering courses as a special lecturer (lab tutor) at Teesside University, UK, and as a Principal Technician (Smart Energy) at Teesside University Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre (NZIIC). In addition, he is a former electrical project engineer with industrial expertise in the field of High Voltage power system engineering after achieving B.Eng (Electrical) from University of Newcastle, Australia.

In 2021, he earned an MSc in Electrical Power & Energy System (with Advanced Practice) from Teesside University, United Kingdom, with "Distinction." During his MSc study at Teesside University, he worked as a student researcher and an intern lab tutor. He is interested in innovative energy technologies, the implementation of advanced algorithms on energy management systems, data analytics in energy systems, and smart grid in terms of research.
