2nd International Nursing Summit on Antimicrobial Stewardship

To celebrate World AMR Awareness Week 2023, the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ is hosting the 2nd International Nursing Summit on Antimicrobial Stewardship on 22nd November 2023.

Infections which are resistant to antibiotics are a severe global threat to human and animal health. Initiatives to improve how antibiotics are used are called ' antimicrobial stewardship' (AMS), and benefit from interprofessional and collaborative work across the clinical, educational and policy-making arenas. The Summit brings together national and international clinical nurses, nurse leaders, researchers, and educators, all involved in developing and supporting AMS nursing, and it would be of interest to those considering the implementation and evaluation of AMS programmes, funders and commissioners interested in learning from successful nursing stewardship experiences, healthcare professionals attracted to new perspectives, and researchers wishing to explore gaps in the evidence on optimal multidisciplinary AMS teams
